Our CNC machines are working continuously everyday producing the billet parts customers find on their bikes - from the billet wheels to the tuned flex plate (the heart of the BMS frame). In case of a rush order, we shift to double shifts. Initially the aluminum is received raw as a rectangular empty to make the swing arms, chain breaker kit, and flex plate or as rounded bars for wheels. The bars are rough cut and then sent to the appropriate CNC machine. We have three CNC machines. One makes rounded parts and the other two drills patterns and makes the other shapes. When prototyping parts we work by hand, though in the near future the hand process will be retired and designs will be sent directly to the CNC machines. We use the same software, used by Airbus & Dassault Industries which are airplane manufacturers. The machines are then programmed in sync with the CNC computer and the first part is produced. Quality control is assured by checking tolerances each production cycle. If there's a slight difference the part is thrown away and the machine recalibrated. Every part of the bike, even the parts of the frame to be welded, are initially cut with the CNC machine so that when they are assembled on the jig before the welding process they fit perfectly and every part is the same. All the required tools for welding are made by our company. Everything is put together on a jig so we are able to weld the frames to our exact specifications. Because welding makes the aluminum work, a jig is very important. Our jig allows for 360° freedom so that the welder can move the part where he needs.
