The development of the prototype began 2 years before the company BMS was born. During this development period, Alban BIANCHI (the youngest Bianchi brother) was one of two riders riding Damien. Initially Alban was riding the other Italian brand Damien was importing. Alban was running in the top 3 of the 2002 French championship but at the end of the season he started to have too many bike problems to finish high in the season overall standings. This was because the other bike companies during this time launched new models, more competitive than the model he was running (which was getting outdated). For the last race of the 2002 French championship, Alban rode the BMS prototype. Though it was the first real race for the new prototype Alban finished an easy 2nd. In 2003 we produced 25 bikes and we were running the French championship with two riders, one of which was Alban BIANCHI. We started racing the new season with a stock engine as we were too busy with the new factory to do much in motor development. We started our engine development program for the last two races finishing 2nd and 1st respectively. This was the start of the BMS supremacy seen in the numerous European championships. The first chapter in our history cloased with BMS winning the 2004 French championship title and sweeping the top three positions. Alban BIANCHI finished 1st, and two other BMS factory riders finished 2nd and 3rd. Since 2004 BMS win more than 40 titles all over the world!
